Jennifer
Chan is a Toronto-based artist-curator who grew up in Hong Kong. She holds a BA in Communications, Culture, Information Technology and Art & Art History from University of Toronto Misssissaug and a Diploma of Fine Art from Sheridan College.
Jennifer received the 2009 Trinity Square Video Award and 2008 Mississauga
Arts Awards for Emerging Talent in Visual Arts. She has exhibited at Blackwood Gallery,
University of Toronto Arts Centre, VMAC, and Gallery 1313. She has curated for Vtape and InterAccess Electronic Media Arts Centre
and now assists with programming for Gendai Gallery.
Her research and practice explores the use of technology in the
formation of postmodern subjectivity. She will be starting her MFA in Art Video at Syracuse University this fall.
